How to find a team to join
Finding a team is not hard, but it does require you to put in a little effort.
New Players to Competitive:
We encourage you to make a post in the
websites Looking For Team (LFT) section and also post in our
Discord #lft channel.
You should also contact leaders of teams who need a player. You can find them listed in the
Teams Looking for Players (LFP) section and also the LFP section of our
Discord #lfp channel.
Experienced Players to Competitive:
We particularly encourage you to make a thread on the
RGL HL LFT forums section. This will allow you to advertise yourself to higher profile teams.
Browsing the
LFP section of the forums will also present you with many teams that are looking to recruit players.
Map Pool (Ordered by Weeks)
- Week 1 - pl_swiftwater_final1
- Week 2 - koth_ashville_rc1
- Week 3 - pl_upward
- Week 4 - koth_lakeside_final
- Week 5 - pl_vigil_rc6
- Week 6 - koth_product_rcx
- Week 7 - cp_steel
NOTE: The latest versions of each map will be played. The whitelist for Season 4 can be found
here. The map list has also been updated in the
map pool and structure page.
Normal Lakeside version is being ran due to the
survey results. This is with
Proside having mixed results and most Invite players opting for the stock version. Vigil is the 5th week to give time for the map developer to compile the new version, as well as give teams enough time to practice and review it.
Invite and Advanced Updates
It has come to our attention that a
9-team Invite round robin structure would not work, given our current schedule and format. This is since a 9-team Invite would still amount to a 9-week long regular season, which would potentially bleed into Christmas and New Year holidays. As a result, the following will occur:
- We will rolling with a 10-team Invite Swiss structure, with the top 3 teams from the qualifiers earning their spot
- There will be a 7-week Swiss regular season
- This means that Cascade will not be played; map pool will directly mirror all the other divisions with Lakeside being swapped in
- Depending on SOS for 4th and 5th, we MAY ask teams to do a head-to-head to determine final seeding
Our
confirmed teams for Season 4 are:
For Advanced, we are looking to lax the guidelines for Invite players participating in this division, due to the teams getting knocked down into Advanced.
Please speak with your division admin if you are an Invite player and wish to be approved. Advanced will mirror the Invite league structure with a 10-team division as well.
Prize Pool Update
With the addition of a
10-team invite, the prize pool will increase.
This means the total prize pool for the season will amount to
$1,625 in cash prizes for the
top 3 teams. This number is subject to increase in the season, as we add up our donations.
1st Place
$562 + $167 credit
2nd Place
$402 + $167 credit
3rd Place
$162 + $167 credit
Special thanks once again to our sponsor
mannco.store for their $500 sponsorship to the prizepool.
Server Resources for RGL.gg
As RGL’s player count grows,
stephanie and
Aad have been hard at work on a new set of server configs and sourcemod plugins from scratch, to ensure an easier time for everyone.
These configs and plugins are
mandatory and
not optional. All official RGL matches must be played on a server running these configs, in order to ensure a minimum standard of quality and fairness for everyone.
The new configs have better net settings, more consistent naming, and are set up to be as easy as possible to install and use. They have been added to serveme.tf as well and can be applied when renting a server from the network. If renting from serveme.tf, select the relevant config to your match below.

The auto-updater plugin created mostly by
Aad, is used to ensure your server is never out-of-date, meaning you will always have the latest updates, without having to do anything more than a one-time installation!
Please note: the auto-updater will not automatically download new maps to your server, to avoid long download times. Maps must be manually downloaded as new maps are added to the RGL map pool.
For install instructions and more in-depth details about the configs and plugins, please head over to
stephanie’s Github page.Season Start Date
Regarding
delaying the season start date by a week, we will not be able to do it this season. That is because if the season starts on October 14th (up from the 7th), then the
grand finals for the season would be on Christmas and New Year holidays. Attempting to reschedule these matches until after 2019 would be a logistical issue for many teams.
As such, the season start date will remain on
October 7th.
Staff Changes
Due to IRL commitments, wax will be stepping down from IM admin.
Micahlele will now be filling the vacant IM admin position.
The following reflects the updated positions of each admin in RGL HL:
